November-December 2019 - The Cut: Santa Fe Bites - ABQ
3407 Central Ave NE has been the home for many restaurants including Pete’s Frites and Rustic Star Burgers and Bistro. A new company has taken over to leave their mark in Albuquerque. Santa Fe Bites - ABQ is the new burger joint in Nob Hill. During a screening at our second home, The Guild Cinema, I decided that I and my assistant partake in their cuisine.
It was refreshing to see the hostess not waste time to greet us at the door and get us seated the minute we walked in. The atmosphere of the establishment is uplifting. The mural of the Albuquerque skyline is a nice touch to the meal that was yet to come. Our waitress was quick to get our order placed and offer suggestions of what to try. We went with an order of chips and salsa and two cheeseburgers and fries.
The chips and salsa made it to the table quickly, but I can say that was the only disappointing part of the meal. It would have been perfect if they came to the table warm to go with the salsa. But the chips were a blip in the whole dining experience. The star of the meal was definitely the burgers. Perfectly cooked, juicy, and good to the last bite.
