Tomlin got her start on the NBC sketch comedy show Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In. There, she quickly made a name for herself portraying quirky and irreverent characters like Ernestine the phone operator and five-year- old Edith Ann. Tomlin draws from a wealth inspiration, parodying everything from late-night infomercials to sorority girls, her work offers social commentary and pokes fun at American popular culture.
