April 2015 - Let Us Entertain You: Noises Off

Called the funniest farce ever written, NOISES OFF! presents a manic menagerie as a cast of itinerant actors rehearsing a flop called “Nothing’s On.” The play takes a fond look at the follies of theatre folk, whose susceptibility to out-of-control egos, memory loss and passionate affairs turn every performance into a high-risk adventure. This comedy-within-a-comedy captures a touring theatre troupe’s production of “Nothing’s On” in three stages: dress rehearsal, the opening performance, and a performance toward the end of the run. Each performance is portrayed from behind the scenes, progressing from flubbed lines and missed cues in the dress rehearsal to mounting friction between cast members in the final performance. Brimming with slapstick comedy, NOISES OFF! is a backstage farce of slamming doors, falling trousers and flying sardines!

This entertaining show features Colin Borden, Ryan Jason Cook, Dehron Foster, Stephanie Larragoite, Cyd Schulte, Eleanor Smith, Paige Underwood, Rick Wiles, and Stephen Zamora. Performances will on April 10 – 26. Fridays & Saturdays at 7:30pm and Sundays at 2:00pm. There will also be a special Thursday Performance April 23 at 7:30pm.
