December 2014 - Turn it Up: The Creator Series at The Stage

Santa Ana Star Casino, New Mexico’s Best Bet, welcomes EDM (electronic dance music) legends John “00” Fleming and Christopher Lawrence to The Stage on Friday, December 12th. Kicking off The Stage’s “Creators Series,” the duo will perform as “Fleming and Lawrence.” The show begins at 9:00am.

“The Stage’s ‘Creator Series’ spotlights the DJs who started it all,” says Santa Ana Star Casino Director of Marketing Tammy Neil. “These musical innovators laid the foundation for today’s global EDM phenomenon before it was fashionable, so in their honor, we are creating a club experience where they can share their pioneering approach to music and continue to celebrate their genuine passion for the dance floor.”

Before they began collaborating and adopted the moniker “Fleming and Lawrence,” John “00” Fleming and Christopher Lawrence were internationally renowned solo DJs, each with more than 20 years of experience in the industry. Dubbed “a national treasure of trance music” by BBC Radio 1, Fleming established a reputation in the underground electronic music scene in the ‘90s, producing deep, textured tracks that broke the mold of trance in the U.K. Around the same time stateside, Lawrence also became a major trendsetter in underground trance, introducing a tougher, “take-no-prisoners” approach to the subgenre. With significant individual commercial successes, storied careers in the industry and accolades that include headlining some of the most prestigious music festivals in the world, Fleming and Lawrence joined forces to revive true underground trance. Stripping away the fluff and cliché of the genre, their progressively edged trance brings back the spirit of ‘90s underground trance while continuing to push the boundaries and pave the way for the next generation of music producers and music lovers, alike.
